New Video

Wanted to share this with all the Magnum owners here. I was invited to participate in the Road Atlanta Audi DE event this past weekend so I obliged. Last Thursday I installed a new set of of brake pads for the event, Flushed my milkshake radiator, changed the oil and topped off all my fluids. The Open Track event was Saturday and Sunday of this past weekend with four sessions on each day. I got alot of compliments from other drivers about how bad@$$ the Maggie was on the track. If any of you are familiar with Road Atlanta you know it is a very demanding and challenging track with lots of concrete retaining walls all the way around. The Track is 2.54 miles around and has some very challening elevations. Overall the car perfomed flawlessly. Top speed were acheived on the back straight of 138-140mph. After all the track activity I am excited to see my car in good shape overall wiht the exception of my brakes which performed very well. I had to order new pads and rotors this morning. I will also be ordering new tires tomorrow that's the way things work you pay to play. Also on the video elow you guys will see alot of other cars most noticeably the Blue Twin Turbo 997 Porsche(600whp, 700ftlbs torque.) The Porsche was driven by Grand AM GT drive Randy Pobst of Pobst Racing. I heard today that he Broke the speed record on the back straight and hit a slow 212mph . There is another open track event on Saturday and Sunday May5-6th. Registration is $275 for Saturday and $325.00 for Sunday. Saturday's Classes will be C Class (Lead Follow), B Class intermediate with lapping, and A Class Adavnced with Lapping. Sunday's the only classes that will run are B & C. If you any of you guys are local to Atlanta or Surrounding cities it would be great to come out and join myself and Tim Edens. We will be attending both days but only driving on Sunday. The cost to come out and watch is free but bring a helmet with you. Most drivers will laoow passengers rides in their cars which if you have never done is a great introduction to Road Racing. I hope to see some more of the Atlanta crew on the track in the near future. If you would like to register you can go to Panoz Racing School here https://date.forest.net/~knockout/pr.../td_shop.lasso

Enjoy this video!

Re: New Video

so basically, you probably spent $2000 for the day when you consider tires, pads, rotors, entry?

Re: New Video

Basically if I had been smart and not used the street pads that come stock on my car I would have saved about $1500.00. But all in all it was some of the best entertainment I have had in a long time! I would hihgly recommend to other drivers here who love their cars. I will admit My car was driven twice as hard as most cars due to Tim driving my car in the novice class for four session and then me driving it again in my class. most cars run only in one class. So in essence we beat the shit out of it on the track and it was beggin for more!
