DCX Spring Fling 2006, Irvine CA
Here are some pics of the vehicles at the spring fling of 2006 held at the DCX facility in Irvine CA. Designer Ralph Gilles and Adam Forte of the SRT division were in attendance and quite interested in seeing how many of the attendees upgraded, modified altered their vehicles. They would stop and ask question and take an active interest in what you have done or experienced with your LX vehicle.
The meeting as put together by LX Forum, 300 Forums and Charger Forums staff along with DCX, Foothill Ranch Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge dealership and Tulsa Rib Company as well many other volunteers.
People walking about in Black polo shirts were either SRT staff or those who have been to the SRT Track Experience. What was very interesting and quite enjoyable, was that it did not matter what kind of LX car you arrived in. Someone was always interested in talking about their rides or your ride. There were stock ones, ones with customized paint and/or pin stripping, and others with aftermarket accessories on them from air ride suspension, to superchargers, suspension kits, tricked out SEMA cars, upgraded engine and transmission chip or no chip, headers, CAI kits, gull wing door, Lambo doors, suicide doors and probably every type of time that was every made for a car. There was even a 300C from the early 60’s I believe with a 392 in it.
I also got the chance to meet many people who I have only chatted with in the forums. There were people from almost every part of California, Oregon, Arizona, New Mexico and I heard one from Mexico and possibly a couple form Canada.
I met with and saw Kenny Kings latest enhancements on his SRT 8. One pic is of Kenny kneeling by his ride.. it took us while to get him back up though. Kenny had installed an RK Motorsports hood and added pin stripping to the side of the hood scope and along both side of his Magnum. This goes along with his custom pedals, shaded lights, chip Zoomers and other mods. I tell one thing Kenny is a big guy, I would say he pushing 6’5” easily. He has about 9K mile on his Magnum and he said it was originally intended to be his weekend cruising car. Well Kenny must have some long weekends to put that many miles on his Magnum.
Next to Kenny’s magnum was the Hennessey 392 CI/550HP Magnum. According to the guy driving it, the Hennessy car was on the west coast for a photo shoot and his car was back in Texas receiving the 550 HP upgrades and the staff at Hennessy has let him use this car to attend this event. We were told that there are only 3 such units on the road right now. At an extra $20K I can understand why. When this bad boy started up, people noticed.
BobF from Arizona was in attendance as well. I did not get a chance to meet, but I snapped a couple pics of his magnum as well. Next to BobF was Hit it, Scott and his wife. She is probably just as much of a high speed addict as Scott is. Scott has a GSM S/C package with many other mods on his SRT8 Magnum. He was unfortunate though as when getting his Magnum washed a few weeks ago, the whole front fascia was ripped off his car. The car wash people stood up and did the right thing and took care of getting his car repaired. Through this experience Scott got hooked up with a Pomona dealership, Rio Rancho. They were there passing out discount cards for 15% off any parts or labor provided by Rio Rancho.
Noktunal was showing their SEMA cars next to Dubs. They had some pretty wild things going on. Also Zoomers, Brembo,Tokia and other accessory vendors were on site showing their wares.
All in all we had great day, talked to a lot interesting people who shared a common passion for their cars.

Hey hey... at least they DO NOT start with once upon a time.... :D :D :D nor do they originate from an unnamed reliable source... but I have been told that they become exponentially better as the intake of alcohol increases..

I concur..... The two or three red CSRT8's didn't show up until well after 11:00. Oh, and there wasn't a single silver one to be seen. Loved the row of those fast Black SRT8 Chargers...:D

That is only cause your kids woke you up early :D :D nice kids by the way polite and well behaved
I guess the silvers ones partook in to much of the previous nights festivities
Anyway I think Good Guys have something coming up in May or June. We should plan on doing another little informal gathering...
